Automatic translations

 

When we detect that the description and title of a top route (minimum routesescore of 3 stars) are not available in the language of the region in which the route is located we offer an automatic translation from RouteYou. For that automatic translation we use Azure from Microsoft.

Why automatic translations?

We do this so that these top routes also appear in the search results of RouteYou users who access our platform in the language specific to the region in which the route is located. The fact of the matter is that in searches, we initially try to offer as much content as possible in the user's language. Only after that content in other languages is offered. 

How do you know it is an automatic translation?

Whether a route is offered in multiple languages can be seen at the top of the Route-information. If it is an auto-translated description, we make the user aware of it by adding a label: 

How good are these automatic translations and can I modify them?

Such automatic AI translations are usually of sufficient quality but, in all fairness, not always 100% correct. Therefore, as the author of the route, you can add a description in the relevant language yourself at any time. Find out how to translate routes here. If you have edited the translation, the label with the Azure logo will disappear. We then assume that you have checked the translation for any errors and edited them to get a correct description.
