What is NodeMapp
NodeMapp is a Belgian company founded by Sven Nijs in 2011. Its mission is to allow millions of cyclists and hikers to discover the most beautiful routes along nodes in parts of Western Europe through the platforms nodemapp.com (Belgium-Wallonia, Netherlands, Germany, and France), fietsknooppunt.be, and wandelknooppunt.be (Flanders).
Cooperation between NodeMapp and RouteYou
RouteYou and NodeMapp have had a close cooperation for some time now. We therefore recommend that you use the NodeMapp app to use your node routes, as it is Powered by RouteYou!
Easily open a RouteYou route in NodeMapp
To facilitate the use of a RouteYou node route In NodeMapp, we provided a direct link between the two systems.
- Go to the desired node route
- Click on the sticky download button:
- Depending on the type of route, you can choose:
NodeMapp Bike
NodeMapp Hike
- If you click on 'Continue'
in the next pop-up, a new pop-up appears with the option to open the route immediately with the NodeMapp app. Or for Flanders, the Bike Node/Walk Node app.
The pop-up includes a QR code that you can easily scan with your smartphone. You can also use a unique route code. If you visit the route from your smartphone and already have the app installed, you can also open the route with one simple click on the button.

Frequently asked questions
Why doesn't this option appear on some node routes?
This option only appears for node routes that are actually planned with a node routing and at least 80% of which are via the hiking or cycling node network. Read more about this here.
