A Pytheas spot is a location which somebody think is remarkable to discover or to have a look at.

It is named after the Greek-Roman discoverer and geographer Pytheas the Greek, also called Pytheas of Massalia (Marseille). He made a voyage of exploration to northwestern Europe at about 325 BC.
