Imperial vs metric unit system
On RouteYou, you have a choice to see the units in miles (imperial system units) or kms (metric system units).
General selection
You can make that choice by selecting at the top right the country USA (language English or Español). In that case you will get to see the length in miles and height in feet.
Later on you will be able to set your unit preference in your user profile (so you don't have to select the country/language choice USA).
The RoutePlanner
In the RoutePlanner you can select the units at the top left.
Some exceptions still
We are working to provide this choice on all levels, but there are still some gaps where only the the metric system is provided for the moment, such as in

- the public and private user page
