Functionality of RouteDownload plugin

The RouteDownload plugin allows you to download the route as a print or GPS digital file and embed the download in your own website (without going to the RouteYou website).

This functionality is linked to the RouteViewer plugin.

Base

Example

    routeyou_download_route = 44;

<script src="http://ws.routeyou.com/download.js" type="text/javascript"></script>

Variables

More Options

Background color

You can adapt the background color of the plugin to make it fit with the color of your website.

<script type="text/javascript">
    routeyou_download_route = 44;
    routeyou_download_color_background = 'FFFFFF';
</script>
<script src="http://ws.routeyou.com/download.js" type="text/javascript"></script>

You can select the language of the plugin.

<script type="text/javascript">

</script>
<script src="http://ws.routeyou.com/download.js" type="text/javascript"></script>

Download for specific devices

You can define which downloads should be displayed/supported.

This example shows you the code if you only want to show the downloads for the devices Garmin and TomTom:

<script type="text/javascript">
    routeyou_download_route = 44;
    routeyou_download_devices = [
        'garmin',
        'TomTom'
    ];
</script>
<script src="http://ws.routeyou.com/download.js" type="text/javascript"></script>

The list of devices supported so far:

This does not mean that every route has all these download options. Please contact sales[at-r.] for more detailed information!

Direct download to Garmin devices

You can offer the functionality to let users with a Garmin device download the route directly to their device.

Example:

<script type="text/javascript">
    routeyou_download_route = 194068;
    routeyou_download_enable_download_to_garmin_device = true;
</script>
<script src="http://ws.routeyou.com/download.js" type="text/javascript"></script>

DOM insertion

By default, the plugin is added to the page at the same place where you put the script tags. However, this may not be feasible in some cases. In those cases, you can use DOM insertion instead. To do this, put a <div> element where you want to show the plugin, and set the following variable:

Note that the script tags should come after the <div> element.

Example:

<div id="routeYouDownload"></div>
<script type="text/javascript">
    routeyou_download_route = 194068;
    routeyou_download_div_id = 'routeYouDownload';
</script>
<script src="http://ws.routeyou.com/download.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
