What happens when the route is being processed?
When the route is processed after uploading or digitizing, the route is converted to several different formats (for the RouteViewer, as print, in several GPS formats,...)

Can it take long and if so, why?
Normally, it only takes a couple of minutes to process the route. It can take much longer in the following cases:
- When your route you uploaded is very long or has many shapepoints
- When there are a lot of people uploading or saving a route at the same time (you end up in a queue)
- When somebody uploaded a corrupt file and our software doesn't detect it, it keeps on trying to process it or makes our server crash in the worst case (although we are trying hard to detect corrupt files before we process them, but there is always sombody who has a better way of making things corrupt).
If my route is not processed after more than an hour, is it lost?
Although it is very annoying to wait that long when something goes wrong, your route gets processed eventually, because the process is stored in a queue. We do try to avoid this situation as much as possible!
