Definition of General difficulty level

The General difficulty level indicates (by means of one number) in a relative way how much (physical) effort it will take you to follow this route.

The General difficulty levelis expressed as a number between 1/100 and 100/100.

1/100 means that this route is in the top 1% of most easy routes (99% of this type of routes is more difficult). 100/100 means that this route is in the top 1% of most difficult routes (99% of this type of routes is more easy).

It's a rough indication of the energy you need to finish the complete route.

The General difficulty level is based on 3 variables

• Total ascent
• Max. ascent
• Length
