Score of a POI

What does the score of a POI mean

At a place of interest or POI you will see a scoring system (spheres): .

The simple explanation of the score is that it is a measure of the importance of the POI. But technically it is more correct to say that it is a measure of the information value of a POI. In other words, it's an indicator how much information is available about this POI on Routeyou. FAQs - Frequently Asked Questions

"My hotel/B&B has a score of just 1. That's not right..."

It is true that the score we use here has nothing to do with the quality of the service offered in a particular place. Let alone that it is linked to other rating systems such as Michelin stars. It's not because a museum has a score of 5 that the service there is fantastic. Or vice versa, just because a hotel has a score of 1 doesn't mean it isn't a good hotel.

The score (the number of spheres) is a measure of the amount of information, and indirectly the importance of a POI (see above).
